2026 Program
Our theme for 2026 is It’s hard to be a Christian these days! We are planning to have four Sunday evening Gatherings based on Martin Thielen’s book My long farewell to traditional religion and what remains. This book is available as a free PDF download on Thielen’s website Doubters Parish
These are the provisional topics and dates for the three Gatherings, with details to follow nearer the times:
26 April The God I don’t believe in
14 June The God I do believe in
23 August Living with faith/belief
25 October Understanding different views of God

Margaret Landbeck got us thinking with her introduction on the nature of God
Then we broke into four groups to tackle the challenging questions given to us.
Wendy Lowry talked about wrestling with doubt and disbelief, and led us as we sang two George Stuart hymns that gave us plenty to think about.
We finished as usual with an enjoyable time of fellowship with finger food.
Explorers met on Sunday 26 April for a discussion based one Martin Thielen’s blog The God I don’t believe in.
